Overview of MIF++ card payment fees

The MIF++ fee model is used to process card transactions and consists of three main parts:
  1. the interchange fee (MIF = Multilateral Interchange Fee)
  2. the card-issuing company fee
  3. a transaction processing fee
The card companies determine both the interchange fee and the card-issuing company fee and cannot be influenced. The MIF++ method ensures that these fees are paid on a 1:1 basis without any surcharges or margins. We always inform you transparently about the actual amount of each fee in your transaction statement.

1. Interchange Fee

This fee applies to each transaction between the card issuer and the merchant. It represents the bulk of the fees that are charged for card payments. The level of interchange fees is regulated within the European Union and may not exceed 0.2% of the transaction value for debit cards and 0.3% for credit cards. For some types of cards that are not subject to regulation, these fees can be higher.
For current interchange rates, please visit the Visa and Mastercard websites. Rates are subject to change, which will automatically affect the total contract fee.

2. Fee to card issuers

This fee is paid to companies such as VISA and Mastercard that process card transactions. The fee depends on the region where the card was issued and may vary depending on whether the card is issued in the country where you do business, in the European Economic Area (EEA) or outside the EEA.

Overview of card company fees:

Domestic cards 0.20% + CZK 1.250.024% + CZK 0.25
EEA cards 0.40% + CZK 1.250.224% + CZK 0.25
Cards outside the EEA 1.00% + CZK 4.010.70% + CZK 2.51

3. Transaction processing fee

This fee covers the cost of systems and integration with card companies for authorizing and settling transactions. The final fee you pay is the sum of all three components of the MIF++ model.
